How a Corporate Gifting Order Runs, Brief to Delivery
Seven stages, one of which decides whether the other six were worth doing.
- A typical order runs about fourteen days from approved brief to dispatch; festive needs roughly four weeks.
- Nothing enters production until the sample is approved. This is the stage that protects the whole run.
- Branding and packing are batch quality-checked, and items are photographed before sealing.
- Payment is 50% against PO, balance before dispatch; credit terms for repeat accounts.
- Delivery is bulk to one address, or split to homes with an AWB tracking list.
- Transit damages are replaced free within seven days of delivery.
Corporate gifting looks like a purchase and behaves like a small manufacturing run. Products are sourced, branded, assembled, checked, packed and shipped — often to hundreds of addresses, and almost always against a date that cannot move. Understanding the sequence is what lets a buyer intervene at the point where intervention still helps.
What are the stages of a corporate gifting order?
Seven, running from brief to delivery. The first two set what is possible, the middle three determine quality, and the last two decide whether it arrives intact and on time.
| # | Stage | What is decided here |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Understanding requirements | Purpose, audience, quantity, budget, timeline, brand guidelines |
| 2 | Curating options | Shortlist drawn from 100+ brands and 2000+ products |
| 3 | Customization and branding | Logo printing, engraving, custom packaging |
| 4 | Sample approval | Nothing is produced until this is signed off |
| 5 | Production and quality check | Bulk run with batch checks before packing |
| 6 | Packaging and dispatch | Packed and shipped from the company's own warehouse |
| 7 | Final delivery | One address, or many, pan India |
Which stage matters most?
Stage four. Sample approval is the last point at which a problem is cheap. Branding placement that looks wrong, a colour that shifted, a box that opens awkwardly — all are a single item's problem before sign-off and an entire run's problem afterwards.
The common mistake is treating the sample as a formality to be waved through under time pressure. A rushed approval is how a thousand units arrive with a logo two centimetres off-centre.
How is quality actually verified on a bulk run?
Through batch quality checks on branding and packing, with items photographed before sealing. The photography is the part worth understanding: it records what physically went into the box, not what the specification said should.
That distinction decides how a later query resolves. Without a record, a question about a missing component becomes one party's word against another's. With one, it is a matter of looking.
Where does the order physically get made up?
In-house. Storage, branding, packing and dispatch all happen in a 10,000 sq ft warehouse rather than being passed between third parties. The reason this matters to a buyer is control of timeline: when branding and packing sit under one roof, a delay in one step can be absorbed by the next rather than renegotiated with another vendor.
What are the commercial terms?
Payment is 50% against purchase order, with the balance before dispatch. Credit terms are available for repeat accounts. Worth knowing at budgeting stage, because it affects when cash leaves rather than how much.
Damages in transit are replaced free within seven days of delivery. Gifting orders travel in volume and change hands several times, so this is a term to confirm with any supplier, not only this one.
How does delivery work for a distributed team?
Two options. Bulk to a single address is simplest and fastest. Splitting to individual home addresses is supported with an AWB tracking list, so the sender can see what reached whom rather than assuming.
Split delivery is limited by the address list far more than by logistics. Collecting and cleaning addresses reliably takes longer than teams expect, and it is the most frequent cause of a programme slipping past its date.
What does a supplier need to start?
Six things: company name, quantity, delivery date, gifting purpose, budget per gift, and any branding guidelines or delivery cities. That is enough to curate properly and quote accurately. Quotes are returned within two working days.
